Defending your rights: This is the mission we share with DAS Difesa Legale, the first Legal Protection Insurance Company in Italy, affiliated with major insurance companies Generali Italia and Gruppo Ergo (Munich Re).

Today, we proudly announce our collaboration aimed at supporting citizens in managing secure and reliable insurance practices while championing their rights.

DAS Difesa Legale: Providing legal protection insurance

DAS is the leading international brand in the legal protection insurance industry. Défense Automobile et Sportive was established in Le Mans, France, in 1917 by Georges Durand. Its purpose was to provide protection to participants of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in case they caused serious accidents.

The Italian branch was founded in Milan on November 26, 1959, and later relocated its headquarters to Verona. In the 1990s, DAS was controlled by Toro and Das International. In 2006, it was acquired along with Toro by Assicurazioni Generali, and in 2013, it became part of Generali Italia.

DAS’s added value lies in its personalized service, ensuring fast dispute resolution and sparing clients from the complexities of the justice system, where the righteous struggle to assert their rights and uncertain outcomes prevail.

DAS Difesa Legale and TrueScreen: Innovating for Legal Protection in Insurance Processes

In response to the growing challenge of trusting digital content, DAS is revolutionizing legal protection by integrating TrueScreen’s cybersecurity solutions. With the widespread use of editing tools and the rise of deepfakes, DAS recognizes the need to safeguard clients across all fronts, particularly in the legal realm.

TrueScreen’s patented certification method ensures the authenticity and integrity of content acquired from mobile devices, adhering to international cybersecurity and forensics guidelines. Certified by TrueScreen, content becomes indisputable evidence with legal value.

Certified and Indisputable Evidence for DAS Customers

DAS now offers the ability for all its clients to certify photos, videos, audios, screen recordings, documents, chats, and geolocations with legal value. This empowers clients with indisputable evidence to substantiate facts or events crucial to their insurance claims, including:

  • Automobile claims: Verifying vehicle damage caused by rear-end collisions and more.
  • Property inspections: Documenting property damage and related incidents.
  • Cybercrime: Collecting evidence for online defamation, threats, and fraud cases.
