## Core Paradigm

In the past, digital content was considered authentic unless proven otherwise. Today, due to generative AI, deepfakes, and advanced editing tools, any digital asset is potentially unreliable unless guaranteed as authentic at the source. TrueScreen enables exactly this shift: certifying the authenticity and integrity of digital data at the point of capture, making it trustworthy and legally defensible. Data authenticity is the property of one piece of data now; digital provenance is its verifiable history over time. TrueScreen delivers the first today and intends to become the infrastructure for the second.

The TrueScreen method has four steps in a fixed order: forensic acquisition, verification of the data, technical reporting, and certification with legal value. The forensic acquisition is the differentiator: data is captured in a controlled environment so that no person, software or system can alter it while it is being captured. It is the first step of a methodology patented as a whole. The seal and the qualified timestamp come last and are part of the method, not the point of it: anyone can seal a file, and sealing proves only that the file has not changed since the seal was applied. Other tools certify a file; TrueScreen certifies an event.

- eIDAS, Regulation 910/2014 (electronic identification and trust services): the legal basis of the seal and the qualified timestamp applied at the end of the method
- ISO/IEC 27001 (information security management): a certification TrueScreen holds, not only a reference followed
- Budapest Convention on Cybercrime (2001): followed so that certified evidence is usable across borders
- GDPR, Regulation 2016/679: governs every stage of acquisition, processing and storage
- EU AI Act: certified provenance of data produced or processed by AI systems and agents
- NIS2: integrity and traceability obligations that certified data satisfies
- AGID guidelines: Italian rules on electronic signature and trust services, followed alongside eIDAS
- Digital Services Act: obligations on data integrity and traceability that certified data supports

C2PA is supported technically: TrueScreen reads and writes C2PA manifests. C2PA is one of the standards implemented, not the identity of the product. TrueScreen does not use blockchain, by choice: its legal recognition varies by country and technology, and it offers weaker guarantees than a digital seal with internationally recognised legal value. TrueScreen is not a trust service provider and is not a certification authority.

## Products and Features

### Mobile App (iOS, Android, iPadOS and macOS)
Certified acquisition of photos, videos, audio, screenshots, screen recordings, certified mobile browsing and geolocation directly from the device, where the data is born. Acquisition works without a connection and synchronises when the device comes back online. Each acquisition captures contextual metadata (GPS, timestamp, device info) and produces a forensic-grade certified output.

### Web Portal
Browser-based platform used at the desk for content already in digital form and for governance: certifications, workflows, workspaces and team access. Includes certification of files and documents (also by hash, so that a file never leaves the customer perimeter), document signing, and AI content analysis from the Business plan. ### Forensic Browser (desktop, Mac and Windows)
Proprietary forensic browser for the certified acquisition of web pages, online videos, files and entire browsing sessions as court-ready evidence. The content is captured as it was served, in a hardened and controlled environment (DevTools disabled, code injection blocked, app files hashed at startup) and sealed the moment the session closes, never reconstructed afterwards. Three modes: targeted capture shot by shot, full recording of the session with audio and video, and automatic acquisition of a whole site, a list of addresses or a sitemap. Geo-routing lets the session exit from the chosen country, and that point of observation is written into the record. Each session produces page snapshots (rendered screenshot, live DOM source, full MHTML archive), session video, certified downloads hashed with SHA-256 and SHA-512, the full HTTP archive (HAR) and optionally the raw packet capture (PCAP), dual timestamps checked against multiple NTP servers, and a tamper-evident hash chain, sealed with eIDAS qualified timestamps and aligned with ISO/IEC 27037. It also reads C2PA Content Credentials and IPTC digital source metadata of the acquired files.

### AI Content Analysis (deepfake and GenAI detection)
Multimodal analysis over photo, video and audio that returns a degree of confidence that content was manipulated or generated. It does not assess text. It is not deterministic and never replaces the forensic method: the method establishes what happened, detection accompanies it. It is a capability of the platform, not its purpose: TrueScreen certifies authenticity at the source and also offers deepfake and GenAI detection for content it did not acquire. ### Rebroadcasting Detection
Detects whether a photo or video was captured from a screen (rebroadcasting), identifying attempts to pass off reproduced content as original.

### Certified Output
Every certification produces:
- Original files (photo, video, audio, document)
- Detailed PDF report with forensic metadata
- Machine-readable JSON data
- XML file carrying the digital seal and the qualified timestamp, under eIDAS

The package is self contained: anyone receiving it can verify its integrity and its seal without TrueScreen, and it stays verifiable even if TrueScreen ceased to exist. Original means what came out of the acquisition, with no later transformation.

Choose the API when the data already sits in the organisation's systems, the SDK when it is born inside the customer's own application, the MCP server when an AI agent produces or handles it.

### Workspace and Archive
Multi-user workspaces with role-based access, shared credits, certification archive, and secure sharing. Certified content has no expiry and stays in the archive until the user deletes it; at the end of a subscription the archive stays accessible in read-only mode. A user or workspace administrator can delete a certification from the archive; packages already downloaded stay and keep verifying themselves.

## Pricing

TrueScreen sells three plans: Pay Per Use, Business and Enterprise. Prices are published only on https://truescreen.io/pricing/; this document states the structure, never a figure.

- **Pay Per Use**: no subscription. Credits are bought when needed, the price of a credit falls in bands as the quantity bought rises, the first two certifications are free, and the credits never expire. One user and one workspace. It reaches the Forensic Browser, mail certification, online meeting certification and digital signature. It does not include the API, multiple users, multiple workspaces, shared credits, lower cost credits, advanced archiving, enabling third parties to certify, branded reports, custom acquisition workflows, AI content analysis or the Certified Data Room: all of these start with the Business plan.
- **Business**: a subscription built from a monthly credit allowance of 20, 50, 100 or 200 credits, a chosen number of users and a chosen number of workspaces, billed monthly or annually; annual billing costs 17 per cent less than monthly. Credits included in the subscription renew each period and do not accumulate. Includes everything Pay Per Use lacks, AI content analysis and the Certified Data Room included.
- **Enterprise**: custom pricing on volume, with custom workflows, custom reports, custom AI analysis, full integration with the organisation's systems, single sign-on, white label applications, the SDK and premium support.

Consumption is measured in credits: the cost of an operation depends on its type and on the characteristics of the content. A person has an account, an account can belong to workspaces owned by an organisation, and credits sit either in the personal wallet or shared in the workspace. - **Data Authenticity**: The property of a single piece of data, here and now, of being what it claims to be: this photo, this email, this document. TrueScreen guarantees the how, not the what: a staged scene is certified as an authentic recording of a staged scene.

## How TrueScreen Works

1. **Forensic acquisition**: the user acquires content (photo, video, audio, document, email, web page, screen recording) in a controlled environment where no person, software or system can alter it while it is being captured. Contextual metadata is collected at the same time: position, time, device, network and environment. This is the differentiator and the first step of the patented methodology.
2. **Verification**: TrueScreen verifies four things: the environment and the device, the metadata and its sources, the acquired content, and the technical integrity of the package before sealing.
3. **Technical reporting**: a PDF report and a JSON report document what was acquired and how, so that a third party can examine the result rather than take it on trust.
4. **Certification**: a digital seal and a qualified timestamp under eIDAS give the already trustworthy data a form a court recognises. The seal certifies the entire process, not the file in isolation. After the acquisition, any alteration is detectable.

**Can evidence acquired with TrueScreen be disputed?**
Certified evidence is incontestable: alteration is prevented during the acquisition and detectable afterwards, every step is documented in a technical report a third party can examine, and the package verifies itself independently of TrueScreen. Incontestable describes the evidence, never the outcome of a judgment, which no certification can guarantee. TrueScreen source code and activity logs can be examined in a forensic review under a non-disclosure agreement.

Yes. TrueScreen operates in compliance with the GDPR at every stage of acquisition and certification.
